Jaclyn Kinkade: Trial Attorney | Finney Injury Law
Jaclyn Kinkade
Trial Attorney

Jaclyn Kinkade.

"I'm driven by the opportunity to tell meaningful stories in the courtroom, stories that make a difference for real people."

I've spent my entire career in the courtroom, telling people's stories, fighting for fairness, and helping others navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

After years of defending companies, physicians, and public entities, I joined Finney Injury Law to do what has always driven me most, helping people.

My path to plaintiff's work started in public service at the Missouri Attorney General's Office, where I represented state agencies and employees in civil litigation. That role gave me an early appreciation for how the law impacts real people and taught me how to advocate effectively in both state and federal courts.

From there, I joined the City of St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office, serving within the Special Victims Unit and focusing on domestic violence cases. That work changed me. I helped survivors through some of their most vulnerable moments, standing beside them as they told their stories, ensuring they were treated with dignity, and helping them find a measure of justice and peace in the legal system.

"Those experiences shaped my belief that the law should be a source of strength and protection, not fear or frustration."

After my years as a prosecutor, I transitioned to civil litigation, joining Cassiday Schade LLP, where I became a partner. For nearly a decade, I defended medical professionals and healthcare institutions in complex medical liability cases. That work taught me the depth and complexity of medicine and gave me the opportunity to learn from, and challenge, dozens of experts across a wide range of specialties, from emergency medicine and oncology to psychiatry, pathology, and beyond.

Now, at Finney Injury Law, I bring that same trial experience, medical knowledge, and attention to detail to the plaintiff's side. My focus is on building personal connections with my clients, understanding their lives, their injuries, and their goals, and translating that understanding into powerful advocacy.

I'm driven by the opportunity to tell meaningful stories in the courtroom, stories that make a difference for real people.

Outside the courtroom, you can usually find me cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, tackling a new puzzle or escape room, or building LEGO creations with my husband and son.

The connection between medicine and the law.

Nearly a decade defending medical professionals taught Jaclyn the depth and complexity of medicine. Now on the plaintiff side, that knowledge becomes an advantage for clients with medical malpractice or complex injury cases.

Medical Expertise Across Specialties

Through years of defending healthcare cases, Jaclyn worked alongside and challenged experts in emergency medicine, oncology, psychiatry, pathology, and other specialties. That cross-disciplinary experience helps in evaluating cases, building expert teams, and effectively cross-examining defense witnesses when the firm represents injured clients.
